Not that the famous
Indian film producer Sajid Nadiadwala
is free to attend the carnivals and events organized in the town, but he was at
one with his best friend and actor Salman Khan. Though flooded with work on his
upcoming releases in the next year, the producer keeping aside Kick’s
production process chose to accompany his lead actor to a program. The two,
Sajid and Salman arrived to support the Koli Mahotsav in Mumbai that started on
22nd November, 2013. Founder of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS),
Raj Thackeray was also a part of the opening ceremony held on Friday along with
Sajid and Salman. This was very generous on the part of these three very busy
men, who chose to be a part of the do, despite of other commitments.
Sajid
Nadiadwala was surely happy to participate in the festival,
which is a three day carnival celebrated to highlight the rich culture of the
Kolis in Mumbai. They are said to be the original inhabitants of this city,
which possesses an elongated coast as well. People from all the fishermen
villages in and around Mumbai were a major part of the Koli Mahotsav. The three
day festival displays various Koli dance performances. One can also taste from
a large variety of seafood being made available at the forty five stalls set up
at the venue. Along with all these arrangements, ninety thousand people were
expected to attend the Mahotsav, which actually did.
Sajid and Salman along
with MNS chief Raj were present at the festival to inaugurate the event, which
saw crowds cheering madly for the three. This shows the love of people for the
producer, actor, and politician of Mumbai, India. As Salman Khan rendered a
speech to the spectators and also waved at his fans, the audience was seen
continuously clapping in happiness and excitement. As Salman Khan waved when
they left the venue, Sajid Nadiadwala stood
by him throughout!
