After finishing shooting for the television reality show
Bigg Boss 7 and the promotions for Jai Ho, Salman Khan had started shooting for
good friend Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick.
Kick is Sajid’s first movie as a director and it is also the first time that
Salman is being paired with Jacqueline Fernandez. The film is also being
produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment
Pvt Ltd.
Salman had been postponing the dates for the shooting
because he was busy hosting the show Bigg Boss 7, which ended just before New
Years. Salman has been associated with the production house for quite some time
now and has hosted 3 seasons of the popular reality show. Once the show ended,
he had to promote his movie Jai Ho, which released on the 24th of
January 2014. When done with the promotions, Salman started shooting for Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick, which is set
to hit the theatres on 25th July 2014. After shooting in Karjat for
a few weeks, he has finally wrapped up the shooting and Sajid is very happy
with the way the scenes have turned out. Salman will be seen doing a lot of
action in the film, stunts that he has never done before. Sajid Nadiadwala has
also roped in international action director Philippe Guegan to take care for
this. Philippe has been associated with many Hollywood action blockbusters like
The Transporter, Hitman, Rush Hour and Taxi.
Kick is the remake of a Telugu movie with the same name that
was released in the year 2009. Ever since the film released, Sajid had shown
interest in remaking it in Hindi. He thinks that Salman is the best choice for
this role. Sajid Nadiadwala is now
going to shoot for the film with his female lead actor Jacqueline Fernandez in
the mid of February. Jacqueline has to perform in the concert Temptations
Reloaded on 15th February 2014 in Malaysia. This performance was
initially scheduled for the end of 2013 but had to be cancelled due to some
reasons. Jacqueline is yet to decide whether she will continue shooting for
Kick or perform in the concert.
