It is boring to watch
the traditional pairs on-screen repeatedly in several movies. The audience
appreciates an on-screen couple and it becomes a trend to get them together
every time. After sometime, all the charm of that couple and the praises from
the viewers goes down. They want to see some innovation and expect from Indian
cinema to give them opportunities to be pleased again. Fresh star casts are
what the public wants to see.
And, Sajid Nadiadwala has always been doing
what the people want! This talented Indian film producer has never hesitated
from launching new faces or roping in unique star casts for his films. He has
paired up actors that were never seen together in any movies. Well known for
his creativity skills, Sajid has continued to experiment with unique pairs and
multiple casts on-screen since his first film.
Sajid Nadiadwala first signed in Sunil
Shetty and Akshay Kumar in an action comedy named ‘Waqt Hamara Hai’ that released
in 1993. The movie was a super hit. Then the producer came up with Sanjay Dutt
and Govinda starrer ‘Andolan’ in 1995. This pair of two amazing actors created
magic on-screen. Next year, 1996 saw a combination of Sunny Deol and Salman
Khan in ‘Jeet’. This was the film, from where the friendship between Sajid Nadiadwala and Salman sparked
off. It proved to be a lucky year for Sajid as he got a wonderful friend and
successful film. Improving his relations with the star, Sajid roped in Salman
Khan for a double role in ‘Judwaa’ (1997). It displayed the funnier side of
Salman. Then he gave films like ‘Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega (2000) with Rani
Mukherjee and Preity Zinta; and ‘Jaan-e-mann’ (2006), which was a romantic
comedy drama with Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan, the two close friends of Sajid.
Sajid still continues
to follow the trend set by him. His 2012 blockbuster movie, which was a comedy
drama ‘Housefull 2’, had a wonderful star cast of Akshay Kumar, Asin, John
Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, Zarine Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Shreyas Talpade, Shazahn
Padamsee, and many more!
