“There’s a difference between ‘growing up with stars’ and ‘growing up on stars’!” – Sajid Nadiadwala

Not many are lucky enough to grow up with the stars. However, every one of us can grow up on the stars. Yes, there is a great difference in the two phrases. A person growing up with the stars is the one, who was born in such a family and grew up with other star kids. And, a person growing up on the stars is the one, who considers a star as his or her idol since childhood. That is the reason I said that growing up with celebrities can be a rare thing but growing up on one is the story of every human being.

Sajid Nadiadwala, the 47 years old famous Indian film producer was the lucky one to be born in a family with the filmy background. His grandfather Abdul Karim Nadiadwala had a major contribution in the film industry as a producer. This is the reason that Sajid grew up with other present day stars. Some of the celebrities those worked with him, were his friends in either school or college. Some of them continue to be friends with the ace producer till date. In fact, Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala went to school together and are friends from that time.

Sajid not only grew up with the stars, but also grew up on the stars. Top Hollywood celebrities like Sylvester Stallone and Denise Richards are two of his favorites. Adding more information to it, Sylvester Stallone was Sajid’s childhood idol and the walls of his rooms were completely covered with Sylvester’s posters. Sajid Nadiadwala has grown up on Denise Richards and Sylvester Stallone. According to him, everyone will agree that they both are great actors and do not need an introduction.

To add on to the excitement, when Sajid personally met these famous Hollywood stars on the sets of his film ‘Kambakht Ishq’, he was overjoyed. He did not have words to express his happiness and working with them was a dream comes true for the producer!
