Will Katrina Kaif step in to resolve release issues between Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Phantom’ and Fox Star Studios’ ‘Bang Bang’?

Two or more films releasing on the same day is a common sight in Bollywood. However, what if those two or more movies releasing on the same day have the same actor or actress as well? It would surely pose as a major problem for the respective actors because promoting both the films together might not be a great idea. It is not only an awkward situation for the actors, but also for the makers, if both the projects are big budget films with a strong star cast. A clash of release dates of such two films needs to be solved. Similarly, two of the many big movies of this year, Sajid Nadiadwala’s Phantom and Fox Star Studios’ Bang Bang are slated to hit the theatres on the same day, which is 2nd October. Coincidentally, both the movies have actress Katrina Kaif in the main lead. While Katrina will be seen playing a photojournalist opposite actor Saif Ali Khan in Phantom, she will play actor Hrithik Roshan’s love interest in Bang Bang.

Also, the actress herself does not want her two films to clash at the box office. This can prove dangerous for both her ventures. Therefore, talking about their release issues at an event, Katrina said, “It is unlikely that the films will hit the screen on the same day.” So, does that mean that Katrina Kaif will step in to resolve release issues between Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Phantom’ and Fox Star Studios’ ‘Bang Bang’? The leading lady of the two movies might ask either of the makers to postpone the released date. Giving his views over the same issue, Kabir Khan, who is directing 'Phantom', said, “We are releasing our film on October 2. It is going to be a five day weekend, so there is enough space for the two films to co-exist.”

So, let us wait and watch, whether Bang Bang lets Sajid Nadiadwala’s Phantom enjoy an individual release, while Katrina tries to handle the matter.

Katrina Kaif gives bulk dates to Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Phantom’ to avoid delay!

The last release for Indian film producer Sajid Nadiadwala this year will be his first action thriller Phantom. The movie is based on the 26/11 terrors attacks in Mumbai that had left the entire country shattered. While Sajid has produced Phantom under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., director Kabir Khan is directing it. Actors Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif will be seen playing the leads in the film, where Saif is featured as a secret agent and Katrina as a photojournalist, both from the counter terrorist side.
The film is slated to hit the theatres on 2nd October this year, which is Gandhi Jayanti. This might be first time in history that an actress’s two films might release on the same day. Katrina’s other movie Bang Bang with Hrithik Roshan will supposedly release on the same date; however, it has not been confirmed yet. In order to avoid delay of Phantom, the half British actress has given bulk dates to Sajid.

However, still Fox Star Studios claims they have Katrina’s bulk dates and not Sajid Nadiadwala. Confirming the news that the bulk dates are with Phantom, a source close to Katrina Kaif said, “Her schedule has gone topsy turvy because of the delay in the schedule of Bang Bang. For Phantom, she was required to shoot for 55 days, out of which they have already finished 10-12 days of shoot, and her dates have been assigned for a long time now. While, one cannot say anything about Bang Bang, Phantom shall release on schedule.” The actress is currently juggling between couple more films other than Phantom, which are Jagga Jasoos with Ranbir Kapoor and Fitoor with Aditya Roy Kapur. Nadiadwala having Kaif’s bulk dates will surely complete shooting for Phantom soon. They can then release the movie on the date already decided with ease.

Sajid Nadiadwala recently finished shooting for Phantom in Gulmarg, Kashmir!

This year five films will be hitting the silver screen under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., which also start releasing back to back from February. Film producer Sajid Nadiadwala seems to be on a high due to this reason. The five films he is making this year are Highway, 2 States, Heropanti, Kick, and Phantom. Out of these, Phantom is an action thriller, with which Sajid is attempting a serious genre for the first time. While he is producing the film, Kabir Khan will be directing it. Actors Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif are playing the lead roles in this movie and will be featured as each other’s love interest. For the first time, they will be seen playing secret agents that too from the counter terrorist side. This year the second schedule has already begun in the beautiful Gulmarg Valley ski resort of Kashmir.

The cast and crew of this Sajid Nadiadwala production Phantom is shooting there, despite of the falling temperatures and thick layers of snow. Informing about the same, a source said, “While the rest of the crew, led by director of the film Kabir Khan, arrived in the valley last week, Saif joined them in Gulmarg on Friday. Most of the shooting in the film during the next few days is scheduled to take place at the breathtaking locales of the hill resort.” Lead actor Saif Ali Khan has been spotted shooting for Phantom at Kangdoori. However, the lead actress Katrina Kaif is nowhere in sight. It is being said that she is stuck up with some personal matters, which is a reason for her absence from the sets. A unit member claimed, “Katrina was also needed here for this schedule but she couldn’t make it. However, she is supposed to join the crew soon.”

Sajid Nadiadwala wants to create a little controversy with his upcoming film ‘Phantom’!

A little controversy is always good for a film, which is about to release. It definitely attracts eyeballs and proves to be beneficial for the film as well as the makers. Similarly, the famous Indian film producer Sajid Nadiadwala is in mood to create a little controversy with his upcoming movie Phantom. Though the producer wants to go slow over it, he has on purpose given this action thriller a working title like Phantom. Phantom is a very basic and common title, which is temporary for sure. He will later change the film’s name to something interesting as well as a bit controversial. In order to keep things going smoothly till the movie has been wrapped, they have been subtly calling it Phantom. Talking about this a source said, “The makers don’t want the story line of the movie to be revealed right now which is why they have kept the working title, Phantom.”

Sajid Nadiadwala’s Phantom is an action thriller, which is based on the 26/11 terror attacks scenario. However, not wanting to reveal any details about this director Kabir Khan calls it a rumour and says, “The movie is definitely not based on 9/11.” Actors Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif will be seen playing the lead roles in Phantom, where they are being featured as secret agents from the counter terrorist side. The name of the movie can be changed to Daniyal Khan later, which is said to be the name of the character Saif is playing in the film. Katrina’s name in Phantom will be Nawab. The first schedule of the film was shot in volatile regions of Beirut last year. The shoot for the second schedule has now been moved to Mumbai, which might later head to Kashmir. Talking about the controversial title the source added, “Right now the title is Phantom and they are planning to change it once the film is complete or will probably announce it close to the release of the film!”
