Sajid Nadiadwala has a dazzling past, present, and future!

The Indian film industry is very vast and comprises of the who’s who that have been a part of it since a long time now. Some have even been born and brought up in these extremely film struck families, only to become an actor, actress, director, film maker, or some other important person. To one such family belongs the very famous film producer Sajid Nadiadwala. His grandfather Abdul Karim Nadiadwala was a big producer of his times and has given numerous hits. Sajid has played the perfect heir and has been successful in taking his legacy forward. With a degree in law and desire of becoming an actor, the producer had started his filmy journey by assisting his uncle in some of his movies. Later he went on to become an individual producer with his official banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.

This was the film maker’s first achievement during his initial days in Bollywood, which proves that he had a dazzling past. Moving on to more of his films, he delivered some superb stories, which were well executed. Waqt Hamara Hai, Jeet, Judwaa, Andolan, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Jaan-e-man, Heyy Babyy, Houseful and Hosuefull 2 are some of Sajid Nadiadwala’s most remembered projects. His hold over mainstream cinema has always been a topic of appreciation for the talented film producer. Wanting to turn a director from a long time, he has recently stepped into the shoes of a director with his upcoming movie Kick that stars Salman Khan in it. He is also working on five other films that will start releasing back to back next year. They comprise of Highway, Heropanti, 2 States, Phantom, and an untitled romantic comedy with Imtiaz Ali. This describes how dazzling is the film maker’s present.

And we are sure that Sajid Nadiadwala has a dazzling future too. Expecting more commercial as well as action movies from the producer and waiting for his future releases!

Imtiaz Ali takes you on a tour to Ajmer in the Higway Diaries episode 3 for the Sajid Nadiadwala presentation Highway!

By now, everyone must be aware about the Highway Diaries, as a part of which a video is uploaded on the net every few days. The Highway Diaries is the series of episodes that bring us close to the journey of the making of Highway, the road film by Imtiaz Ali. Though the videos have nothing to do with the film, they are important aspects of the experiences that the vast and crew of Highway had at the sets. Shot across six northern states of India, the film has been written, directed, as well as produced by director Imtiaz Ali. It will be presented as well as distributed worldwide by famous film producer Sajid Nadiadwala along with UTV Motion Pictures. Actors Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda will be seen playing the leads roles in the movie.

As a part of the 3^rd episode of the Highway Diaries for the Sajid Nadiadwala presented film Highway, Imtiaz Ali takes you on a trip to one of the beautiful places in Rajasthan – Ajmer. Talking about the film the director says, “I have never seen a film being as influenced by the incidents during its making as Highway. The adventures of our north Indian road journey have many stories to tell.” In the Ajmer special video, you can see the crew of the film shooting on their way to Ajmer from Gurgaon. The crew along with Imtiaz was travelling in trucks and eating food at the roadside dhabas. On crossing Haryana, the director along with his team can be seen relishing the dal and roti at a dhaba located near the Haryana-Rajasthan border check-post.

Imtiaz pointing at the check-post said, “We have just crossed into Rajasthan and in that distance I think the texture of the food has changed”. This Sajid Nadiadwala presentation Highway finally releases on 21^st February, 2014!

Is Alia Bhatt in the limelight because of Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar?

Indian cinema opens its doors for the young and new talents, whether a part of the industry or not. Recently, the number of newcomers entering Bollywood has been tremendously increasing. To name a few we have Arjun Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Tiger Shroff, and Sushant Singh Rajput. However, the list is much longer as names are being added to it each day. One name amongst all of these is of the very famous Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter – Alia Bhatt. Though much younger in age, the actress has achieved more than that was expected. Currently, she is working on two films made by the popular film maker Sajid Nadiadwala. This has put Alia under the limelight again after her very first movie Student of the Year was a super hit.

Alia Bhatt debuted with this film, which was a Dharma Productions owned by Karan Johar. After attaining all the fame with Student of the Year, Alia is now doing 2 States opposite newcomer Arjun Kapoor. 2 States is a book adaptation, which is being co-produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar and is slated to release on 18^th April 2014. It was a big deal for a newbie actress, so young in age, to gain such popularity so soon. Although, she is a good actress, there seem to be two people very much responsible for it, which are Sajid and Karan. 2 States is not the only film, which Alia is doing currently. She has another Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. project in her kitty as well. It was in the news that since director Imtiaz Ali wanted to make a movie with Sajid, the producer suggested him to rope in his 2 States heroine for it.

Without giving it much thought, Imtiaz signed Alia for his Highway opposite Randeep Hooda, which releases on 21^st February next year. Sajid Nadiadwala is presenting Highway worldwide. The topic does not need much explanation after this!
