Sajid Nadiadwala steps into the world of screen adaptations this year with ‘2 States’!

Screen adaptations are a new trend these days. Many film makers have been showing interest in working on turning the stories of famous books into films. Amongst all of them, one is ace producer of Bollywood Sajid Nadiadwala. He read author Chetan Bhagat’s book 2 States and fell in love with the real life love story of the writer. He liked it so much that he immediately bought the rights for the story and decided to make it into a movie. However, Sajid is not doing it alone; he is co-producing the film along with film maker and friend Karan Johar. They have roped in debutant Abhishek Varman to direct 2 States (the name remains the same), who had no plans to tamper the original story of the book. Sajid, Karan, as well as Chetan are very happy with this. Newcomers Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor have been signed to play the lead pair.

Romantic by genre, 2 States is a screen adaptation of the book written by Chetan Bhagat with the same name. With this, Sajid Nadiadwala is stepping into the world of screen adaptations this year for the first time. Chetan has written six books so far, out of which three have been converted into films. 2 States is the fourth book that has been adapted on the screen and is about two people from different castes, who fall in love and do everything to convince their parents for their marriage. Rightly put by a source, he said, “The romantic plot is expected to revolve around a couple’s lingual and cultural distinctions in spite of belonging to one nation.” In this movie, Arjun plays the role of Krishh Malhotra, a north Indian boy, who falls in love with Alia playing Ananya Swaminathan, a south Indian girl. The two meet at IIM, where they study together and fall in love with each other.

This Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar co-produced 2 States releases on 18th April this year!

Sajid Nadiadwala on a responsibility that he took 15 years ago!

Not many have the courage to take up responsibilities and also stand by them forever. However, the ones who do, make sure that they keep up to their words. One such personality is the very famous Indian film producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who has never backed away from a responsibility, especially when it comes to launching a newcomer. He has provided opportunities to many actors and directors in his films, some of which are now individually at a very good position in the industry.  The producer continues to be on his spree to launch many other such fresh talents, who deserve the golden chance for sure. He is currently working on debutant Tiger Shroff’s movie Heropanti, which he is producing under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Director Sabbir Khan is directing this film, which has more of action, dance, drama, and romance. Kriti Sanon is playing the lead role opposite star kid Tiger Shroff.

Film producer Sajid Nadiadwala, on launching Tiger Shroff feels that his 15 years old responsibility is getting fulfilled. Talking about this the producer says, “I happy to be able to "train" the newcomer, a responsibility I took 15 years ago. I am very happy with how the movie is shaping up and the fact that I am actually fulfilling the responsibility given to me 15 years ago by Jackie Shroff to train his son. It certainly is a different space, but training it is.” Actually, 15 years ago, when Tiger was only 5 years old, Jackie had requested Sajid to train him in football, which the producer was really good at. He played football regularly and was a tough goal keeper of the team he played for previously. This makes the producer nostalgic and he remembers that though he could not train Tiger for football that time, he is training him finally for his upcoming film.

Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heropanti is slated to release on 16th May this year!

Sajid Nadiadwala’s first meeting with his ‘Heropanti’ actor Tiger Shroff unveiled!

Would anybody believe that star kid Tiger Shroff, who is Jackie Shroff’s son, had it in his destiny from the time he was just 5 years old? Actually, we are talking about his debut film Heropanti here, which is being produced by ace film producer Sajid Nadiadwala. The producer, who is also Jackie’s good friend, took all the responsibility on him to offer Tiger a launch that he deserves. The two had met 15 years ago at a football court along with Jackie, who had then insisted Sajd to train his son in football. That introduction between Sajid and Tiger happened, when the young actor was only a 5 year old boy and had been to an exciting football match along with his father. On knowing that the producer was an amazing goal keeper and played football on regular basis, Jackie had requested him to be a tutor to his son.

That time, neither Tiger and his father, nor Sajid Nadiadwala was aware that the little 5 year old boy would go on to become an actor and star in the producer’s movie. So, this time, again Sajid is playing a great mentor to Tiger Shroff by shaping him in the right way for their upcoming movie Heropanti. Remembering those days and the entire incident, Sajid said, “I am very happy with how the movie is shaping up and the fact that I am actually fulfilling the responsibility given to me 15 years ago by Jackie to train his son. It certainly is a different space, but training it is!” Well said by the film maker, who is launching Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon in Heropanti, which is being directed by Sabbir Khan. Sabbir is also dedicatedly working towards polishing the star kid for his bright start in Bollywood and a successful future.

This Sajid Nadiadwala produced Heropanti is slated to release on 16th May, this year!
