Sajid Nadiadwala’s political thriller with Kabir Khan is progressing!

One of the most awaited films of 2014 is the political thriller being made by Sajid Nadiadwala’s production house. The anti-terrorism film is being directed by Kabir Khan and actor Saif Ali Khan along with Katrina Kaif plays the lead role. The movie has uncertainly been named Daniyal Khan, which is being shot in the war struck zone of Beirut and Serbia. The movie is based on the conditions faced by people post the 26/11 terrorist attack. And, thankfully Saif plays a character, which is part of the counter terrorist team this time. With this project, Sajid has moved out of his comfort zone, which was limited to making only commercial movies before this political thriller. Thereby, making the audiences have higher expectations from the producer and his team.

Director Kabir Khan along with actor Saif Ali Khan has done a film based on terrorism before, and therefore knows the difficulty level is high. Kabir has also shot a film at a location in Afghanistan, which makes him comfortable with filming in a war struck area like Beirut. Safety of the entire cast and crew is of course being taken utmost care of. Katrina Kaif, the lead actress also does not stay behind, when it comes to this venture. Her close friend was heard saying, “She is now getting ready for a big challenge. Kabir Khan's new film has her playing a role that would demand high-velocity stunts from her. She would have to train along with Saif Ali Khan for the action scenes in Beirut.” Sajid Nadiadwala must be happy to have a team so dedicated like this.

A source was also heard saying, “Incidentally, Katrina is Sajid’s rakhi-sister from the time when she was in a relationship with his best friend Salman. This is the first time he would be working with her.” Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is recovering from a lower-back injury as of now and would also be joining Saif, Katrina, and Kabir Khan in Beirut very soon!

Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Phantom’ causes trouble in Beirut once again due to its authenticity quotient!

Tentatively named Phantom that wrapped its Beirut schedule back this October has been progressing really well. This Sajid Nadiadwala produced film is being directed by Kabir Khan, who is well known for shooting movies in authentic locations. Actors Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif are playing the lead couple in this action drama, which is said to be a film based on the 26/11 terror attack conditions. Previously, during the shoot of Phantom in Beirut, Lebanon, which is a war struck area the crew had to face issues due to the Israeli intelligence officers taking them wrong as the real trouble makers. This happened due to the authenticity quotient of the film, which every Kabir Khan movie is said to have.

Once again, Sajid Nadiadwala’s Phantom caused trouble in Beirut on the last day of its shoot. A source giving a clear picture about the issue said, “One such incident occurred during the shooting of a particular scene with Saif and Katrina. The scene required several cars for an action sequence and there was a designated area to park all the cars, somewhere in close proximity to the shooting site. Trouble struck on the last day of the shoot. One of the cars, which was an old, green, bullet-ridden, bloodstained Mercedes, caused panic among the residents of that area. For the kind of situation that is prevailing at Beirut at present, with the city being sensitive on war fronts, this particular car created havoc.”

The intelligence agencies were thus again seen on the set along with police, the bomb squad, and the army, who came to investigate the incident. The source confirmed and added, “Several phone calls were exchanged between the local production team and the various security agencies that were finally convinced that it was just a car required to shoot a film. Eventually the panic was put to rest and the issue was resolved.” However, the shoot for the first schedule of Sajid Nadiadwala’s Phantom has been wrapped up in Beirut!
