Sajid Nadiadwala’s journey from the big screen to the small screen!

Entering the film industry is usually a slow process for people starting fresh. They might have to begin with doing an ad commercial or a supporting role in a TV serial. Then they might aim towards working as the lead of the TV show, gradually going on to become a Bollywood actor after a few years. However, have you ever heard of someone taking the vice versa route? The ace film producer Sajid Nadiadwala might be probably thinking to do so. No, he is not exiting Bollywood to become a TV serial producer. He is actually thinking much bigger than this. He is surely planning to come to the small screen, but with a mammoth motive. The producer allegedly has invested in a TV channel, for which he would become a 50% profit and loss sharing partner. Nevertheless, the news is yet to be confirmed.

Till the time everything goes official, Sajid Nadiadwala of the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. talking about the venture said, “This acquisition is an important step from our company towards consolidation in the TV industry. We are confident that this will add immense value to the company and also strengthen our company profile. We have other expansion plans which we will announce shortly.” Having made numerous films since he became a part of the Indian cinema, Sajid now wishes to try his luck at the small screen and we wish that his journey from the big to the small screen is a great one.

Adding to the conversation Sajid Nadiadwala said, “Nadiadwala Grandson has remained rock steady because it has always given quality entertainment for the family. The banner has always made universal film with total dedication and creativity at the highest level. We have created success stories in romantic comedy genre. But today there is boom in the market and our new mantra is to diversify and explore business of different genres. Today my company has invested in television tomorrow it could be the media. No recent news about Randeep Hooda’s character in Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Kick’!

Usually, when there is no recent update over a movie or a project in Bollywood for a long time, then one should consider it to be already shelved. Similarly, off late we have not been hearing or reading anything about actor Randeep Hooda’s character in the Sajid Nadiadwala film Kick. Being the producer’s directorial debut and a remake of a Telugu movie, which is close to Sajid’s heart, he has been putting much effort in its making. The film is said to feature actors Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead. Earlier, the cast also included the name of the suave actor Randeep Hooda, who will be seen in the producer and Imtiaz Ali’s Highway next year.

However, he has not been in the news currently for his role in Kick. Initially also, when the cast was finalized, nothing except for Randeep being a part of this film was ever revealed about him. Also, Sajid Nadiadwala has recently signed in the versatile and very hardworking actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui for Kick. He wanted an actor, who is well skilled and strong at performing dramatic roles. Nawaz’s character in the movie has been kept under wraps yet, but we hear that he is playing a significant role. The Gangs of Wasseypur actor read the script and fell in love with his character. Does Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s entry in Kick mean Randeep Hooda’s exit? This has not been clearly reveled until now by the production house.

Nevertheless, Nawazuddin Siddiqui for the first time has come together with Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala to do a big budget film as a vital character. He has received much appreciation in the past for his acting talent in movies like Talaash and The Lunchbox, where he played extremely diverse roles. With Kick Nawaz is entering the mainstream commercial cinema for the first time and is immensely happy about it!

Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Phantom’ causes trouble in Beirut once again due to its authenticity quotient!

Tentatively named Phantom that wrapped its Beirut schedule back this October has been progressing really well. This Sajid Nadiadwala produced film is being directed by Kabir Khan, who is well known for shooting movies in authentic locations. Actors Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif are playing the lead couple in this action drama, which is said to be a film based on the 26/11 terror attack conditions. Previously, during the shoot of Phantom in Beirut, Lebanon, which is a war struck area the crew had to face issues due to the Israeli intelligence officers taking them wrong as the real trouble makers. This happened due to the authenticity quotient of the film, which every Kabir Khan movie is said to have.

Once again, Sajid Nadiadwala’s Phantom caused trouble in Beirut on the last day of its shoot. A source giving a clear picture about the issue said, “One such incident occurred during the shooting of a particular scene with Saif and Katrina. The scene required several cars for an action sequence and there was a designated area to park all the cars, somewhere in close proximity to the shooting site. Trouble struck on the last day of the shoot. One of the cars, which was an old, green, bullet-ridden, bloodstained Mercedes, caused panic among the residents of that area. For the kind of situation that is prevailing at Beirut at present, with the city being sensitive on war fronts, this particular car created havoc.”

The intelligence agencies were thus again seen on the set along with police, the bomb squad, and the army, who came to investigate the incident. The source confirmed and added, “Several phone calls were exchanged between the local production team and the various security agencies that were finally convinced that it was just a car required to shoot a film. Eventually the panic was put to rest and the issue was resolved.” However, the shoot for the first schedule of Sajid Nadiadwala’s Phantom has been wrapped up in Beirut!
