“I will always cherish that!” – Sajid Nadiadwala

Have you ever had that moment in life, which you will cherish forever? It can be anything that makes you happy. It might be a good job, valuable relationship, or a small gift from a person you like. Such priceless moments and presents can become a good reason to stay delighted for your entire life. The well known Indian film maker Sajid Nadiadwala has many such reasons to be happy and content. One of them is the memento he had received from his childhood hero and famous Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone. Sylvester agreeing to work in Sajid’s film Kambakht Ishq, which had actors Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor playing the leads, was an achievement for the producer. Talking about what was the film about Sajid said, “The film was about a stuntman, who does stunt doubles for Hollywood actors. That's why we roped in Hollywood stars - the script demanded it.”

In Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kambakht Ishq, Sylvester Stallone had to play himself alongside Akshay Kumar. Explaining about the rapport that the two actors shared off screen, the producer said, “They gelled very well. Stallone was very impressed with Indians and our way of working. Akshay and Stallone would discuss their workouts, gym routines and trainings.” Apart from Sylvester Stallone, Hollywood actress Denise Richards was also roped in for the film and getting the two on board was a difficult task as per Sajid. He said, “We were trying to get in touch with Hollywood actors through various sources. We tried many actors and finally, we could get Stallone and Richards.”
Finally the moment came, when Sajid Nadiadwala was gifted a pair of boxing gloves by Stallone, which he would cherish forever. He confirmed saying, “Yes that was a memento. I will always cherish that. He was so impressed with us that he gave his boxing gloves to me. Cinema in India is growing big time and people abroad have started recognizing us. It is a matter of pride to get boxing gloves from Stallone himself!”
