The
video series called Highway Diaries, which was released in order to let the
audience know the stories about the making of the road film Highway continues this
month as well. There is a new video that has come out recently. It showcases
the cast and crew’s journey to the city of Ajmer in Rajasthan. The Imtiaz Ali
written, directed as well as produced Highway has been shot in six different
states of north India, out of which, one is Rajasthan. Film producer Sajid Nadiadwala is presenting this
movie worldwide in association with UTV Motion Pictures. Actors Alia Bhatt and
Randeep Hooda are playing the lead roles in Highway. This part of Highway
Diaries captures the movie in the making at Ajmer. Said to be a film made from
all the experiences of travelling through the six north Indian states, Imtiaz
and his team had a great time shooting in Ajmer.
As
per a source close to the production house, the Ajmer schedule was full of new
and exciting experiences. The cast and crew of Sajid Nadiadwala’s Highway along with Imtiaz Ali shot during the
night in the city. Most of the times, they were shooting in the lanes and by-lanes of Ajmer in Rajasthan. Talking
about the same the source added, “From dargahs to dhabas the
region has its own character, which the film tries to capture. The shoot went
on all night and the
shopkeepers and residents of the area went back home, mesmerized by the Highway
shooting experience.” In Highway, while Randeep Hooda plays a gangster, who is
responsible for abducting the leading lady of the film, Alia Bhatt plays the
city slicker along with being the victim. Their journey post the abduction has
been very interestingly put together by Imtiaz as he had this story in mind
since a long time now.
The
Sajid Nadiadwala presentation
Highway is slated to release on 21st February this year!
