Highway Diaries in Kinnaur for the Sajid Nadiadwala presentation ‘Highway’!

Nearing its release this month is the Imtiaz Ali written, directed, and produced movie Highway, which is a road film. It has been called as a road film because it has been shot across six different states of North India and the story revolves around the lead pair’s journey on the roads and highways. The movie will be presented worldwide by film producer Sajid Nadiadwala in association with Disney’s UTV Motion Pictures. Actors Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda will be seen playing the lead roles, wherein Randeep will be featured as an abductor, while Alia will play a city slicker as well as his victim. The film is all about their journey together after Randeep kidnaps Alia and the way she falls in love with such indigenous freedom. Coming to the Highway Diaries, which is one creative and interesting part of the film’s promotion, it takes the audience closer to the real story.

The experiences that the cast and crew of Highway had during the shoot have been captured in small duration videos and presented to the viewers. There is an addition to these exciting videos with the latest one shot in Kinnaur. In this episode of Highway Diaries, Imtiaz Ali and Sajid Nadiadwala bring to you the making of the latest song of Highway Kahaan Hoon Main. This song was picturised in the snow covered terrain of Kinnaur, which is located in the north Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Kahaan Hoon Main has been composed by A.R. Rahman, written by Irshad Kamil and the track has been sung by Jonita Gandhi. It is a song of self-discovery from the point of view of Alia's character Veera. “The video further shows the team tolerating the extreme cold to capture unforgettable images in the very picturesque Kinnaur. Covered completely from head to toe, both Alia and Randeep have tried their best to put on right expressions for the camera as well as bear the extreme snowy weather,” said a source.

Sajid Nadiadwala is presenting Highway on 21st February this year!
