Katrina Kaif is the first actress to tie a rakhi to Sajid Nadiadwala!

You might have heard a lot about the multiple hook-ups and break-ups in the B-town. It is a very common sight in this industry, where actors and actresses start dating and end up cheating or otherwise on a bad note. Basically, long term relationships aren’t made for them. They like fighting and breaking up and later moving on with someone else. Keeping aside these love and hate relationships of Bollywood, we have the ones, who opt for a better bond, which is forever. It is the simply beautiful bond between a brother and a sister. After, the choreographer and director of Indian cinema Farah Khan tied a rakhi to his brother’s best friend and famous film producer Sajid Nadiadwala, actress Katrina Kaif did not stay back.

A few years back, on the sets of the movie Tees Maar Khan, Katrina had expressed her desire to tie a rakhi to Sajid. The actress is also the producer’s best friend’s ex. This was a sudden decision on the actress’s part, which Sajid could not disagree with. A source close to the producer had then explained the incident saying, “It happened after Farah had tied a rakhi to Sajid Nadiadwala and her brother Sajid Khan in the van. Katrina, who was present there, suddenly stepped up and announced she wanted to tie a rakhi to Nadiadwala, as well.” This turned a little awkward for the producer but he had agreed. With this, Katrina Kaif becomes the first actress to tie a rakhi to Sajid because the man has worked with several actresses till now, but no one did that.

Confirming the news Sajid Nadiadwala had said, “I have known Katrina for six years and I am honored that Katrina has made me her brother. It is rare that we get a brother or sister by choice.” Recently, the film maker has also cast Katrina for his upcoming action thriller Phantom opposite actor Saif Ali Khan that releases in 2014!

Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Phantom’ to hit the big screen towards the end of 2014!

Producing a film individually is not a common concept in Bollywood. Usually, two or more producers prefer to co-produce a movie, especially due to the trend of making big budget films these days. However, a few film producers do possess the capability of taking it entirely on their shoulders. One such individual Indian film producer is the very famous film maker Sajid Nadiadwala. He has been currently working on 5 big movies, which are slated to release back to back in the next year. Starting with the offbeat road film directed by Imtiaz Ali that Sajid is presenting worldwide is Highway. It releases on 21st February 2014. Moving on to 18th April, we have 2 States based on the story of a book, which Sajid is co-producing with Karan Johar.

Tiger Shroff is also debuting with a Sajid Nadiadwala production named Heropanti that hits the theatres on 16th May, 2014. Later on July 25 releases the producer’s directorial debut and the much awaited Salman Khan starrer Kick. Remake of a Telugu movie, Kick is expected to break several box office records. Last, but not the least is the action thriller being directed by talented director Kabir Khan, which has been tentatively named as Phantom. By producing Phantom, Sajid is moving out of his comfort zone, as he has always preferred to make commercial and comedy movies before. This seems to be his first complete action packed project that will feature actors Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif as leads. Paired opposite each other for the first time as one another’s love interest, the two actors have also worked together earlier in Race.

Sajid Nadiadwala’s Phantom is about the post 26/11 terror attack conditions in Mumbai, which has been shot at the Beirut, Lebanon border – a war struck area. Shoot for the first schedule of the movie has been completed and it is expected to hit the big screen towards the end of 2014!

Salman Khan proves his friendship with Sajid Nadiadwala to be true!

First Sajid Nadiadwala proved that he can do anything for his friend Salman Khan by recreating Delhi in Karjat and now it is Salman Khan, who pays back the favor. As we all know by now that the talented Indian film producer spent 15 crore in creating the famous places of Delhi in Karjat, just because Salman was not able to travel to Delhi for the shoot every day. This was really very courteous on Sajid’s part. After all, 15 crore is a huge amount. Salman seems to have taken this to his heart, which might make him feel proud to have a buddy like Sajid. Currently, the superstar is shooting for his brother Sohail Khan’s film Jai Ho, despite of suffering from high fever.

Salman’s temperature refuses to get back to normal and yet the actor continues to shoot. This is all because he cannot postpone the shoot of Jai Ho, which is said to release in January next year. However, if he does so, he will not be able to shoot for Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick, for which he starts working this November. A delay in Jai Ho might also hamper the progress of Kick, which Salman does not want to happen. He knows that his visa issues have already delayed the schedules of Kick and he cannot afford to push it any further. The reason behind this can probably be that the movie is very special to Sajid and he has chosen to direct it just because of best friend Salman.

Kick is the remake of a Telugu film with the same name that released in 2009. The story has stayed with Sajid Nadiadwala since then and he finally decided to go ahead with it, but not without close buddy Salman Khan. The experienced producer has written the story and has been directing as well as producing it. It hits the cinema halls on Eid next year. To sum it all up, this proves that Salman is a true friend!
