With almost six films
ready for release in 2014, Indian film producer Sajid Nadiadwala seems to be on a high. The very first movie, with
which the producer is associated, is Highway that hits the theatres on 21st
February next year. It has been written, directed, as well as produced by
director Imtiaz Ali. Sajid is responsible for distributing the film and
presenting it worldwide. With his name linked with Highway, a road film, the
man is very much proud and happy. Highway has actors Randeep Hooda and newcomer
Alia Bhatt playing the lead roles. They are featuring two characters, which are
extremely different from each other from all aspects. While Alia plays a young
and rich girl from north India, Randeep plays a gangster.
Highway’s release will
mark the start for more 5 Sajid
Nadiadwala banner movies hitting the cinemas next year. So February being
only 3 months away, is the talented film maker ready for presenting Highway
globally? Well, as he is recovering from his lower back injury it seems that he
might be ready for the movie promotions very soon. However, he has a lot of
time in hand and it was really a great decision to postpone the release of
Highway to February from December. With a back injury so severe and being
temporarily disabled from walking and driving, he would not have been able to
concentrate on the distribution of his upcoming film.
Call it destiny, god’s
grace, or his beloved ones’ well wishes, Sajid Nadiadwala will be back on his foot soon before he starts promoting Highway
along with Imtiaz Ali, Randeep Hooda, and Alia Bhatt. This is good news for the
industry, Sajid’s well wishers, and his fans. It has been some time now that
one has got no chance to watch a Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.
film. Sajid and Imtiaz’s Highway will surely be a great beginning in this case!
