There is a special bond
between the two famous celebrities of Bollywood, one is actor Salman Khan and
the other is film producer Sajid Nadiadwala. They have been friends for more than 20 years now and each
movie they have done together has been a massive success. The reason behind
this is Salman’s dedication and Sajid’s excellence as a producer. The
combination has broken several records and their films like Jeet, Judwaa, Har Dil
Jo Pyar Karega and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi are
still appreciated. Once again, the film maker is coming up with a movie with
close buddy Salman Khan, which is being produced as well directed by him. Sajid
has also written the script and is debuting as a director with Kick.
Many people would be aware of the fact that the
actor’s Eid victories started with 'Wanted'
(2009) and continued with 'Dabangg', 'Bodyguard' and 'Ek Tha Tiger'. They all
are said to have rewritten box office history. However, Salman's tryst with the
festival actually began 17 years ago with Sajid
Nadiadwala's 'Judwaa' (1997). This trend will now go ahead with the duo’s
upcoming movie Kick hitting the theatres on Eid in July 2014. The producer cum
director was overheard saying, “We weren't aware of the
coincidence. After we decided to release Kick for Eid 2014, during an office
discussion about previous festival releases with Salman, someone pointed out
that Judwaa came
out on February 7, 1997, which was Eid.”
SajidNadiadwala added, “Salman is as focused as he was before,
whether it's during the narration or the shooting. The only difference is that
earlier I was just his producer and this time, I am his director as well!”
